Wasserstoff aus Lubmin - (WAL) (DE32)
GHS 2 GmbH (H2APEX)
H2APEX, headquartered in Rostock-Laage is one of the leading project developers of hydrogen power plant solutions in Germany. These solutions cover three main areas: real estate solutions, mobility solutions, and industrial solutions. GHS2 GmbH is the applicating project company for DE32 within H2APEX Group.
The project DE32 – “Wasserstoff aus Lubmin” is carried out by GHS2 and is part of Work stream “Installation of hydrogen generation capacity as hydrogen infrastructure” with the main objective to build and commission 100 MW electrolysis capacity until 2028 in Lubmin.
The project is embedded in the IPCEI initiative and cooperates with companies along the entire hydrogen value chain.
The plant will enable an annual production of approximately 7,800 t of hydrogen from 2028 onwards. The hydrogen produced will be fed into a H2 pipeline which will transport the hydrogen to multiple off takers.
The project site is located in the Lubmin industrial area, on the premises of the former nuclear power plant, where additional hydrogen companies will also be established.
The site will be located in the immediate vicinity of the FLOW pipeline (Gascade) for hydrogen. From 2028, the entire hydrogen production of the DE32 project is planned to be fed into this pipeline.
