DecarbHyndustry is led by Lhyfe S.A., a European group founded in 2017, focused on the development, construction, and operation of green hydrogen production plants at industrial scale.
The project aims at supplying green hydrogen to industry and transport players in regional clusters by designing, building, and operating two electrolytic hydrogen plants with an installed electrolysis capacity of 100 MW each, representing globally 200 MW, equivalent to the production of about 25 kt of green hydrogen per year.
Main offtakers will include industrial players using green hydrogen to produce derivatives like ammonia or methanol, while other preidentified users will include public and private transport companies as well as logistic platforms. The offtakers will be supplied through transport solutions such as local pipelines network, tube-trailers and other solutions, allowing an accelerated uptake of green hydrogen to decarbonize industrial and transport activities.
The two plants are located in the Normandie and Nouvelle Aquitaine regions in France and are planned to be commissioned by 2029.
