AH2HUB (ES35)

The AH2HUB project is executed by EVO, a Spanish engineering company and technology leader in zero-emission mobility. EVO develops advanced solutions through expertise in powertrains, power electronics, connectivity, artificial intelligence, digitalisation, functional safety, and cybersecurity. The company supports innovation across the sustainable mobility ecosystem, with a strong focus on both battery-electric and fuel cell electric vehicle technologies, fostering the transition towards cleaner, smarter, and more efficient transport.

The objective of the AH2HUB project is to design and develop a modular and scalable hydrogen fuel cell vehicle platform adapted to high-impact logistics and public transport environments. At its core, the project focuses on an innovative powertrain architecture for both fuel cell electric buses and special-purpose logistics vehicles. Key targets include enhanced system efficiency, energy performance, cost competitiveness, and functional integration, while ensuring robust, safe and reliable operation. The project encompasses the entire innovation cycle — from research and development to testing, validation, and preparation for series production. EVO will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the value chain, including end-users, component suppliers, hydrogen infrastructure providers, public institutions, port authorities, transport consortia, universities, and research centres, to ensure the technological and industrial scalability of the solution.

The project development activities, including testing and validation, take place in Spain, with engineering and R&D coordinated from EVO’s headquarters in Seville. Planning and preparation for the first industrial deployment (FID) will also be carried out in Spain, with production scheduled to begin in 2028.
