Italy promotes hydrogen development with strategic projects within PNRR

The Italian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (H2IT) presented the “Mappatura dei Progetti Idrogeno PNRR” (Mappature of Hydrogen Projects PNRR), which shows the development status of Hydrogen Valleys, refueling stations, and IPCEI projects throughout Italy.

The map identifies more than 100 initiatives distributed from north to south that constitute the first pieces of a national network for hydrogen deployment:

Hydrogen Valleys: present in almost all regions, with projects in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Puglia, Sicily, Sardinia, and Campania, among others. These territorial hubs are emerging as centers for the production, distribution, and use of hydrogen, with the participation of energy and technology companies and local authorities.
