The European Commission has disbursed a €7.2bn ($8.35bn) payment to Poland through the EU’s post-Covid Recovery and Resilience Facility — €500m of which will be allocated to green hydrogen projects.

The €500m will be granted to the developers of five renewable H2 projects in Poland totalling a reported 353MW of capacity: refiner Orlen, its subsidiary Lotos Green H2, Polish utility Tauron, medical plastics and energy firm Promet-Plast and biofuels firm Bioagra.
